Ross builds and maintains the data pipelines and analytics infrastructure that power CommunityScale’s evidence-based planning tools at app.communityscale.io.

Before joining CommunityScale, Ross was an investigative data journalist at The Markup and CalMatters, where he examined the intersection of technology and public policy. His published research at Princeton on U.S. broadband coverage, prompting the agency to adopt more accurate reporting procedures. He holds a computer science degree from UC Berkeley and doctoral work at Princeton, where he was recognized as an award-winning teaching assistant and mentor.
