We may maintain pages for CommunityScale on social media platforms such as LinkedIn and X (formerly Twitter). When you interact with our pages on those platforms, the platform provider’s privacy policy applies. a. Analytics
We may use third-party analytics services, such as Google Analytics, to help us understand how users interact with the Services. These providers may use cookies or similar technologies to collect and analyze information about your use of the Services.
b. Approximate location
Approximate location for map personalization. When you load the Housing Forecast homepage at app.communityscale.io, our CDN provider (Cloudflare) supplies an approximate location (typically city-level, inferred from your IP address) that we use only to choose the initial center of the map you see. We do not store this location, associate it with any account or identifier, or use it for any other purpose.
5) Your Choices
- Access/update your information — If you have an account, you may update certain personal information in your account settings.
- Opt out of marketing communications — You may unsubscribe from marketing emails via the link in each message. You will still receive non-marketing messages.
- Cookies & browser storage — See Section 4 for disabling cookies or tracking.
6) Security Practices
We employ technical, organizational, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
7) International Data Transfers
We operate in the United States. By using the Services, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the United States, which may not provide the same data protection as other jurisdictions.
8) Children
The Services are not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn we have done so, we will delete it.
9) Links to External Sites and Services
Our Services may contain links to third-party sites. This Privacy Policy does not govern those sites; please review their own privacy policies.
10) California Do-Not-Track Disclosure
CommunityScale does not currently recognize or respond to Do-Not-Track signals.
11) Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy by posting the new version on the Services with a new effective date. If changes are material, we will provide notice as required by law.
12) AI Assistant Connections
You can connect an AI assistant, such as Claude or ChatGPT, to CommunityScale data through our Model Context Protocol (MCP) server at api.communityscale.io.
What we collect. When you connect, you sign in with your CommunityScale account. For each request we record your IP address, a one-way fingerprint of your sign-in token, the request ID, which tool ran, whether it succeeded and how long it took. We do not record your prompts, your conversations or your sign-in token itself. When a tool fails, its error log can include the place or dataset it was asked about.
Why we collect it. We use this information to keep the service secure and reliable, to apply rate limits and to understand which tools are used.
Who receives it. Clerk provides sign-in and holds your account details. Fly.io hosts the server and its logs. Cloudflare carries traffic to the service. The AI assistant you connect is operated by its own provider under its own terms, and it receives the results of the tools it calls.
How long we keep it. We keep request logs for about 7 days and aggregate usage counts, which identify no one, for about 15 days.
Your choices. You can disconnect CommunityScale at any time in your AI assistant’s settings. To delete your account or ask about your information, contact us at the address below.
Data the tools return. The tools return published statistics and our analysis. Nothing you send through them changes that data.
